Samantha Bean, GTP, GLP

“Leadership positions challenge individuals to continually search for and recognize exceptional talents, because those talented people are our future.  As the new Virginia Chapter President in 2009, I was recruiting Members to expand our Board of Directors when I was introduced to a young Samantha Bean (“Sam” to her long list of fans!) and I immediately recognized a developing talent that was destined for greater roles and accomplishments in our industry.  I watched (and hopefully assisted) her complete immersion into her role with our Chapter, and was excited when only four years later, our membership elected her as our Chapter President.  She also served on the Chapter Presidents Council Board for two terms doing a large volume of volunteer work on behalf of all the GBTA membership, and earned her GTP and GLP certifications, all while fulfilling and excelling in her duties with her company, LTD Hospitality.  I was sitting next to Sam at Convention last year when she was awarded the Allied Member of the Year, and I was so proud as I reminisced about our first meeting in 2009 and where she is today.  Sam is brilliant, success driven, kind, a credit to her profession, and I cannot think of a better candidate for the Board of Directors of GBTA.  We can only be better with Sam on the Board of GBTA so please join me in casting your vote for her!"
